This is what I have posted over on baybimmers.com - this is the tragic event that transpired on Friday night, march 19th, at Sebring International Raceway.  All network members and admins are encouraged to send a donation to the family of Bryan Asay, founder of baybimmers.

He and Mauricio were over in Green Park at Sebring International Raceway, and they were in the back of a pickup truck with the gate down - doing about 20 mph, and the driver of the truck decided to punch it, and unfortunately, Bryan fell out of the truck, and suffered a fatal concussion to the head.  Mauricio was off the truck and giving Bryan CPR as best he could, as any best friend would do.

    :(
I'm really sorry to hear this happen. It's just so unfortunate for this to happen to such a great person. I'm still in a daze over the whole situation, and I ( sorry Mauricio, but I have to say this ) am sorry that I feel that I could have prevented this from happening on Friday...

I believe Ryan ( with the e46 3 ) was riding around with me on the midway, and Mauricio was calling him, asking for a ride - we were looking for him, at the "green park", but I just could not find where it was because of the traffic. I know if I made it to where they both were, and picked them up in my car for a ride back to the corral, this would not have happened...and I firmly believe I could have prevented this. Mauricio told me it's not my fault, and told me not to blame myself, but I feel bad, I feel for Mauricio for being there, and I feel for his family who's left behind.

While this was happening, I was unfortunate enough to see the other person who was lost at turn 17 (the man also had a son and wife left behind), which made the whole night mentally worse for me. The ambulance that left from this scene was the one heading for Mauricio - but the traffic was so bad from the front of the park to the back, it just made it impossible to get there in a resonable amount of time.
